Bloom Where You Are.
One sunny morning, just as the sun was starting to peep over the horizon, I was getting ready to starting mowing a field of which I thought were all weeds. As I started my riding mower and began mowing, I noticed something that really caught my eyes. In the mist of all the weeds in this field, I saw one of the most beautiful flowers. I thought to myself, this flower is definitely out of place. It was the only one of it's kind that I could see. There was no way I could chop up this flower. Instead, I dug it up, took it home and transplanted it in the garden with my other beautiful flowers. Even being surrounded by other colorful flowers, this particular one stood out as the most beautiful.
Whenever I would look at that particular flower, I would think to myself how it got there in the first place. How did it survive while being surrounded by so many weeds? In the fight for sunlight, water and fertile ground, how could that one flower stand so strong against those tough weeds? I came up with a real life application.
BE CONTENT WHERE YOU ARE BUT NOT SATISFIED
In order to reach the pinnacle of success, there is a process that has to take place. A caterpillar can not become a butterfly without going through the cocoon process. An athlete can not become great without the proper training process. Everything has to start from the beginning.
Think about your life for a moment. Are you where you want to be physically, financially, spiritually or emotionally? If the answer is no, then you are still going through the process to get there. The time frame it takes varies from person to person. Some people learn from life's lessons quickly while others may have to take that course over again. You can not rush the process but you can be content while going through it. Being content does not mean don't prepare for the next level. Just know that where you currently are is not the finale.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME
Have you heard of the Law of Attraction? It simply states that what you are looking for is looking for you. Have you ever noticed that some people catch all the breaks while others seem to live a life of despair? The people who seem to have the most positive outlook on life appear to have the most success. It's like they attract it to themselves. This is in part due to the Law of Attraction.
No matter your circumstance, attract the life you want to live by your thoughts and actions. Always keep striving for a better you. Even when you are surrounded by the weeds of life (your city, your neighborhood, your dysfunctional family, your job etc) shine your way through. You'll never know when it's going to be your turn to be transplanted into the garden of success!
